A well organized retro-commissioning project will follow a well defined process. Planning is essential because it will ensure that roles and responsibilities are clear within the team, that the right people are involved soon enough, and stay with the project long enough. The retro-commissioning planning process also provides the opportunity to gather support and gain commitment, coordinate different functions and resources, bring about cultural change, and communicate objectives and strategies to team members. This course is the first in a two-part series on the implementation of a retro-commissioning plan. This course will explain the process of retro-commissioning and the importance of establishing the scope, structure and schedule of retro-commissioning activities. This course will also identify retro-commissioning specifications, which establish process requirements for the healthcare environment.
